Julia Moorhouse, BVM&S MSc CertCHP MRCVS
Julia Moorhouse is our Head of Veterinary Services at Map of Ag. She qualified from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies (RDSVS), Edinburgh in 2000 and worked predominantly in farm animal practice in Yorkshire for 13 years before joining Map of Ag in 2013.
She gained the Royal College Certificate in Cattle Health and Production in 2009 and completed a Master’s degree in Sustainable and Efficient Food Production from Aberystwyth University in 2019.
Julia’s main areas of expertise are ruminant nutrition and youngstock management but she has a wealth of experience in all aspects of herd health and welfare.
Julia’s role at Map of Ag involves providing technical consultancy advice relating to herd health, welfare, nutrition, productivity and management primarily to the dairy industry. Julia delivers regular independent nutrition consultancy advice to dairy and beef producers, primarily in the North of England. Her role also includes provision of technical advice to processors and retailers. One of her passions is education and Julia regularly delivers training courses to producers, vets and the dairy industry – both through our own series of TotalDairy knowledge transfer workshops and via external parties e.g. BCVA.
