At Map of Ag, we’re proud to work alongside Red Tractor to deliver smarter, more efficient farm assurance. The latest enhancements to the Red Tractor online portal mark a significant leap forward, making the assurance process easier, reducing paperwork and optimising time spent on-farm.

Why the Portal Matters

Farm assurance is vital for maintaining the reputation and standards of British agriculture. However, the process can be time-consuming and administratively heavy for both farmers and assessors. The Red Tractor portal directly address these challenges, streamlining the process while harnessing technology to deliver real, practical benefits.

How Does the Portal Help Farmers

  1. Streamlined Data Submission
The Red Tractor portal allows simplified data is submission. Farmers can upload documents just once, with the assurance that these will be available for future assessments. This “tell us once” approach eliminates repetitive admin and reduces the risk of lost paperwork.
  1. Centralised Document Storage
All assessment-related documents can be stored in one secure location. This makes it easier for farmers to organise their records ahead of an assessment and ensures everything is ready for review.
  1. Enhanced Convenience for Assessors
Assessors can access documentation before visiting the farm, allowing them to focus more on meaningful on-site engagement rather than paperwork. This shift means more time spent understanding the farm and less time in the office.

Portal Enhancements

The portal has been significantly enhanced to be fully cloud-based, ensuring robust security and uninterrupted access. This means that farmers and assessors can rely on the system being available and dependable.

Responding to Industry Needs

These enhancements are a direct response to the recommendations of the UK Farm Assurance Review, which called for a “transformational step forward in embracing technology and managing data.” By digitising and centralising the assurance process, Red Tractor and Map of Ag are helping the industry adapt to new regulatory requirements and future-proofing British farming.

“Our portal enhancements are designed to make farm assurance simpler and more secure, while maintaining the high standards our members expect. By embracing digital innovation, we’re supporting farmers and assessors to streamline the assurance process.”  Sarah Charman, Red Tractor.

Looking Ahead: What’s Next?

Alongside Red Tractor, Map of Ag is committed to ongoing improvements to the portal in-line with the advances in technology and drivers from the industry. Upcoming development activity will begin exploring integrating third-party data sources to further reduce manual input and enhancing data-sharing capabilities to keep pace with evolving regulations.

“We’re passionate about leveraging technology to empower the farming community. Our partnership with Red Tractor is all about delivering practical solutions that help reduce the administrative burden for farmers and the wider industry.”  Richard Myers, Lead Solution Architect, Map of Ag
