Kate Tomlinson is an Agricultural Sustainability Analyst Consultant working across New Zealand and Australia. Originally from a family farm in the north of England, Kate studied at Harper Adams University before qualifying as a rural chartered surveyor. Her work in agricultural sustainability saw her involved in several Test and Trial projects, contributing to the development of new environmental schemes in the U.K. She also advised on the environmental opportunities available to farmers and supported them accessing funding to make change on farm.

In 2022, Kate moved to New Zealand, keen to understand agriculture through a Kiwi lens. Since then, she has worked within the dairy industry, contributed to research projects at Lincoln University, and consulted for an agribusiness consultancy firm.

With on-farm experience, a background in consultancy, and involvement in agricultural research, Kate brings an understanding of farming and on-farm sustainability. Driven by curiosity and a data-focused approach, she is excited to join the Map of Ag Sustainability team to help businesses connect data and insights to drive meaningful change.
