European Board Specialist Jenny is a highly experienced bovine health expert, conducting 14,000 mobility scores annually across top UK dairies.

Jenny is a veterinary specialist in bovine health management at Herd Health Consultancy, where she has been a valued member of the team since October 2020. She graduated from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in 2014 and has been a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) since that time.

Following graduation, Jenny began her career in mixed practice before focusing on farm animal work in Wiltshire and Dorset. In the summer of 2017, she joined the RVC’s livestock extension services in Dorset to undertake the European College of Bovine Health Management residency programme, successfully completing her diploma in September 2020. She is now a European Board Specialist in Bovine Health Management.

Jenny currently works a range of progressive dairies across the UK, focussing on driving continuous improvement in herd health using outcome measures. In addition to her veterinary qualifications, Jenny holds a BSc in Animal Welfare and Behaviour and has also undertaken the Holistic management training with the Alan Savory Institute. Jenny has a keen interest in the link between animal health and biodiversity on farm, focussing on the overlap between parasiticide usage, animal health and the pasture ecosystem, she is currently working on two metrics to enable accurate measuring of these chemicals to drive sustainable reductions.
