John Warburton is a Client Technical Manger based within the Penrith office in Cumbria. Coming from a family dairy farm based in Cumbria, John studied Chemistry and Computer science at university before coming back to the family farm. John joined Map of Ag in 2022 as part of our client support team, quickly gaining an understanding of the data connections utilised by Map of Ag, and how these data sources get translated through to client insights.
John transitioned across to the sustainability team in 2024 after being heavily involved in the project management of several dairy GHG projects. Since then, John has led in developing incentive schemes and knowledge exchange programmes by helping clients turn farm and supplier data into credible GHG metrics aimed at helping shift the dial in dairy sustainability.
Alongside work, John is also currently completing a part-time Masters in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security at Newcastle University.
